Use Cases: Start with the Outcome

Oddlynew is useful when work should outlive one chat and become a better starting point for the next person or connected agent. The agent supplies the intelligence and may use other authorized tools. Oddlynew supplies the durable, typed, searchable knowledge layer and the organization boundaries around it.

These use cases are capability patterns grounded in current product behavior. They explain what you can build, not unverified customer outcomes.

The basic design question is not “what documents should we create?” It is: what outcome are we trying to improve, what durable knowledge does that outcome need, and what loop will let real work improve that knowledge over time? Knowledge and loops are one system: the graph preserves current understanding; recurring work produces evidence; review changes the graph; the next run starts stronger.

Teams and the knowledge they share

Building software and agent systems

  • Designers and product teams working with agents: Design new screens with your agent on your own design system, and review them on a Lens shows how an agent builds clickable HTML mockups from your real design system, lays the alternatives out on a Lens beside the brief, and keeps each decision in documents for the next screen and for the code.

  • Software companies keeping their docs current: Keep your public docs current from what your team knows shows how a private organization holds what the team knows, a public one holds what outsiders read, and a Loop turns each delivered change into an approved update that outside agents and your docs site both read.

  • Builders of support and voice agents: Give your support or voice agent a knowledge base per customer shows how a product keeps each customer's knowledge in its own organization and lets its agent search it when a question comes in.

  • Teams coordinating agent implementation: A Shared Implementation Journal for People and Agents shows how one living coordination document makes an agent's plan, active work, findings, approval gates, canonical updates, and verification visible to collaborators and later agents.

  • Engineering teams reviewing with agents: Review every change with several agents, from anywhere shows how reviews become documents any agent writes for an exact commit, several different agents review the same change, and a CI step turns their verdicts into a check.

  • Teams testing their product with agents: Test your product with your own agents shows how your own agents use the product like people do and keep each run's findings where your coding agent fixes and rechecks them.

  • Teams running many agents in parallel: A Shared Claim Board for People and Agents shows how one document with a "Taken by" column lets people and agents claim work before starting, record progress and results, and add new work as rows, so nobody starts the same item twice.

  • People designing agent systems: Loop and Graph Engineering shows how Oddlynew can serve as the durable control plane while chosen agents and runtimes own reasoning, triggers, and execution.

  • Teams operating or investigating agent fleets: Understand and Steer Agent Fleets shows how several analysis agents can turn authorized telemetry, transcripts, external receipts, competing hypotheses, and coverage gaps into one durable operating model that people and later agents can inspect, challenge, and steer.

Marketing, sales and content

  • Content creators: A Durable Editorial System for Content Creators shows how ideas, drafts, audience signals, editorial decisions, and published learning can become one continuing system.

  • Faceless and automated channel operators: Faceless Channel Operations shows how YouTube evidence, research, production tools, voice, video generation, maintained expert knowledge, and channel-specific learning can become one operating loop rather than a stack of disconnected generation tools.

  • Marketers and growth operators: A Campaign Learning Loop for Marketers shows how campaign evidence becomes reusable decisions and better next experiments.

  • Founders, sales and growth teams doing outbound: Find the right accounts, research them, reach out, and learn from every campaign shows how agents find and research accounts from your own data sources, score them against your ideal customer, draft outreach for a person to send, and write what each campaign taught back into who to target and what to say.

Specialist and research work

  • People doing specialist work without the credential, and the companies that hire them: Do specialist work with an expert organization behind your agent shows how a capable generalist and their agent work from an organization that holds a field's rules and procedures with their sources, keep client cases apart, and leave the knowledge better after each case. Anyone who builds such an organization can also publish it for others.

  • Medical research and teaching groups: Coordinating Medical Research and Teaching Groups shows how specialist research subgroups can contribute evidence to shared papers while anatomy tutoring groups produce reviewed presentations and educational material under explicit access boundaries.

The shared loop

Most useful Oddlynew systems eventually have both a knowledge topology and a learning or execution loop. The topology makes owners, evidence, decisions, and current work discoverable. The loop defines how new evidence becomes a verified change to those owners. When a loop becomes a recurring local practice, keep the full procedure in its owner and put the short standing rule plus route in AGENTS.md so later agents can discover it automatically.

  1. Orient. The agent reads the organization's guidance and searches what already exists.

  2. Work. The human and agent use the sources and connected tools appropriate to the task.

  3. Decide. They separate evidence, interpretation, decisions, and open questions.

  4. Consolidate. The reusable outcome goes into the live document that owns it.

  5. Continue. A later person or agent starts from the improved state instead of reconstructing the past.

How plugins and connections fit

Oddlynew has no built-in intelligence. Your chosen agent does the reasoning and can combine Oddlynew with the capabilities available in that client.

An organization connects outside systems once, and every member's agent then works through those connections: built-in integrations for providers such as Gmail, Instagram, YouTube, ElevenLabs, Cloudflare, SevDesk, Google Ads and Higgsfield, and custom connections to any HTTP API or remote MCP server an admin adds. Each built-in integration has its own page that says what it can do, and Choose the route to an outside system says which connection to use for an operation. When the organization has connected a system, agents use that connection rather than a tool in their own client.

Other research, browser, analytics, advertising, spreadsheet, project, code, calendar, meeting, file, messaging, transcription, or design tools may be useful when your agent client provides them. Availability, permissions, plans, and behavior belong to those tools. Oddlynew's role is to preserve the durable outcome and make it available to future work.

What makes a good Oddlynew use case

A strong use case has at least one of these properties:

  • several people or agents need the same context;

  • decisions must remain explainable after the conversation ends;

  • evidence and conclusions change over time;

  • a recurring workflow should improve from its prior runs;

  • the audience or membership boundary matters;

  • the volume of knowledge is too large for one prompt.

A one-off answer that nobody needs again may not need Oddlynew. The point is not to store everything. The point is to preserve what improves later work.

Try one real task

Connect a compatible agent and connect only external sources you are willing to make available through their existing grants. Ask the agent to retrieve only what this task needs and to read the organization guidance before acting. Minimal retrieval is a working practice, not a narrower Oddlynew OAuth grant: the current grant is user-scoped across that user's organizations. End by asking: "What from this work will be useful again, and which live document should own it?"

Ecosystem patterns

Oddlynew can receive durable outcomes from personal activity, history, and recent-work systems without trying to replace them. Promote Computer History into durable knowledge shows how recent activity can reveal candidate insights while deliberate promotion, source verification, and the correct organization boundary determine what becomes lasting shared work.
